Luwero Light of Life Secondary School is a Christian faith based Private, mixed Day and Boarding
Secondary School. It is has both Ordinally (O) and Advanced (A) levels of education and is fully
registered with Ministry of Education (MoE) registration number: PSSL/L/34 and Uganda National
Examination Board(UNEB) number : U1461.
We are a one magnificient campus school located at 1km along Luwero – Kiwoko road in the township of
Luwero within Central Uganda, 70km North of Kampala City approximately 1 hour’s drive on Kampala
–Gulu road.
The school started as part of the Life of Life Schools from where it derived its name and hence traded as
such. The name was envisioned from John 8:12 by Mr. Dan Nsubuga an entrepreneur and Educationist
in Luwero town who broke a dream of bridging the education gap within in the communities of then the
greater Luwero, but currently the districts of Luwero, Nakaseke and Nakasongola. However, because of
huge scarcity of quality education services in a number of districts within our country, masses of students
coming in from all over the country were irresistible in joining and making it a multicultural secondary
school. The institution having faced the dynamic and turbulent natural processes leading into calamities,
Mr Nsubuga fully handed over the school to a new management in 2023 so as to uphold his dream and
keep the light brighter forever.
The new management is a fully fledged vibrant team comprised of different stake holders who sit on the
Board of Governors. The team adopted a working motto of “brightening the future through a firm
foundation”
Thus through a humble beginning the school spread out to the current state which encompasses all the
facilities necessary for the 21 st century learning inclusive but not limited to modern computer and science
laboratories , games and sports courts which embrace technology and co-curricular activities respectively.
Additionally, the school has a spacious conducive environment that allows for promotion of students
special talents including music and drama as well as undertaking vocational training which became a new
trend that has been embraced by the government of Uganda.
With the current Professional diversity of our new school leadership, it is undoubtable that we are able to
promote and work towards addressing the United Nations 2030 Agenda for the Sustainable Development
Goals.
The leadership will always remain open to all forms guidance, partnerships and collaborations geared
towards the achievement of the school’s mission and Vision. We are highly indebted by the support
coming in from all corners.
United we shall always stand to ensure a strong foundation for a bright future.
